Brief description
In order to promote world trade of chemicals and protect the human health and the environment, in 2003 the UN published the Global Harmonised System (GHS), which defines harmonised criteria for classification and labelling of chemical products and standardizes the communication of hazards through SDSs and labels.
In this presentation, an introduction to the GHS and its 10th revision will be provided, together with an overview of how different Countries across the Globe have implemented it, highlighting the differences and analogies between the various implementations. Lastly, SDSs and label compliance will be discussed, with reference to the regulations of USA, Canada, UK, Switzerland, China, Korea, the European region, Turkey and Brazil.
Presentation will be performed by Ziannah Dehlle Pasion, regulatory affairs specialist at Telematic.
With a bachelor degree in Biotechnology obtained at the University of Milan Bicocca and a great expertise of chemicals regulations, she helps European companies to comply with the changing legislation in EU, GB, USA, Canada and China, while also working on implementing the Korean regulation in the software.
